The 119th edition of Melodi ni Solarie took place in Sintmartæn for the 7th time, kicking off on 27th August 2020.

This edition used the classific format of two semifinals and a 17-song final as the edition songs were chosen by two juries. The finalists were picked by the two juries, therefore there were no points used in the semifinals.

The final was voted with the help of one extra jury, while the Jury Winner pick was chosen by the juries who voted in the semifinal.

In the end, Sintmartæn came out as the winner for the 7th time with Torna a Casa by Måneskin - only 1 point ahead of Barilot. the runner up. This was the first win for the province in 14 editions.

Torna a Casa became the second song sung in Italian language to win the contest, while Måneskin became the second band from Italy to win.

The jury title went to the french band Jil is Lucky (the 5th band from France to receive the Jurty Title) and the song Out of Home, giving the 6th jury title to Jarnælands. The regular edition winner finished with the 3rd place at the jury voting, while Austrinborg achieved the second place.
